Shark Week Awareness Campaign — Lush Cosmetics

For 2019’s Shark Week, Lush launched the “Shark Attack” campaign to raise awareness about the human threats facing sharks and their critical role in maintaining ocean ecosystems. The campaign used a mix of sticker-bomb packs, a digital landing page with educational content and industry insights, a Phone-2-Action petition, and in-store awareness activations, all designed to inspire people to protect sharks. The art direction drew on traditional beach warning signage to emphasize the urgency of the message, while animations created by The Sequence Group highlighted shark finning practices and the presence of shark-derived ingredients like squalene in cosmetics. Assets were shared across retail, digital, social, and PR channels, and in-store experiences included window displays, campaign table signage, and A-frame boards, creating a fully integrated campaign that educated audiences and encouraged action.
